Adventures of the Grey Lady

Introducing "The Grey Lady"
This is what my mother in law named her and I liked it. She's my body double, or dress form. She's far from finished, but I thought I'd get her picture anyway. Soon she'll be covered with chamois cotton, or maybe flannel so that I can pin things to her and not get gummy pins.

This is the stand my awesome husband made for me, all with scraps from the garage, so it was "free". All in all, I paid about $6 for my dress form. I gotta love having "stuff" around the house to repurpose!

Upcoming "Sewing" Projects

So, I use the word sewing in quotes, because I would not call myself a seamstress or any other synonym for the word. I just play. I love going on to Pinterest and seeing refashions of all sorts, and trying to make clothes for my little girl. So, today, I made a list of all the things I am planning on doing in my little craft corner of the bonus/ catch all room.

I wanted to document this for my future reference (and for anyone else who might be interested) and hopefully to help me stay accountable and keep on top of the projects. I plan to take plenty of pics and link up to the inspirations.

Here's my list, which will start probably Monday at the latest, because we are hopefully going to put up the crown molding in the kitchen this weekend!
